This is what we see as your role

We are looking for a Group Patent Manager who will strengthen our Group IP Department to ensure BDR Thermea Group B.V.’s Intellectual Property is protected in the best possible way. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with the R&D Department to ensure the inventions have freedom to operate / do not breach any existing patents and are effectively protected.

In this role you will manage patent portfolios and contribute to the development of BDR Thermea Group intellectual property.

By:

• Ensuring effective and efficient patent protection of all the Business Development Units of BDR Thermea Group B.V.
• Implementing the IP strategy for specific BDU portfolios
• Providing appropriate training and advice to Research & Development
• Improving patent awareness and skills for patentability, freedom to operate and enforcementImplementing internal policies & processes
• Participating in IP Boards or patent committees
• Supporting the legal department in preparing Intellectual Property Agreements (IP), including but not limited to licensing agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), development agreements and collaboration agreements on R&D projects

Your knowledge, skills, experience and character include

We are looking for a colleague with excellent communication and collaboration skills. To make this position a success you also:

• Hold a University degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline e.g. mechanical, physics
• Have at least 3 years of experience post EQE qualification
• Have the ability to quickly develop a good understanding and knowledge of heating solutions and related technologies
• Are fluent in English and German and you preferably have a good understanding of French and Dutch
