Procurement Manager (Internal) – BDU Spares & Service

In this role you will develop & coordinate (in conjunction with the Spares team, Procurement & other departments) the most effective Internal Procurement Spares strategy, delivering best possible total cost of ownership & service solutions through rationalization of product & processes.

This is what we see as your role

In your role as Procurement Manager (Internal), your scope will be to develop and coordinate (in conjunction with the Spares team, Procurement and other departments) the most effective Internal Procurement Spares strategy, delivering best possible total cost of ownership and service solutions through rationalization of product and process.

Along with the primary responsibility you will also be successful in the following:

  • Cost/Price management including:
    • Ensure the organization are fully informed of the intercompany prices evolution in a timely manner in order for them to be proactive vs reactive
    • In collaboration across Procurement, identify any price changes to inform the Spare teams about potential impact on SKU/Supplier/Opco gross profit
    • Maintain an up-to-date list of price changes versus standard price and conduct analysis for BI purposes
    • Create an Intercompany pricelist with latest prices and potential known changes to support budget preparation
    • Support Opco during Budget phase
  • International
    • Support International organization as dedicated Procurement professional
    • Manage supplier competition analysis, build a plan and coordinate with Group Commodity Managers
    • Support / propose / coordinate resourcing initiative and or double sourcing within BDR rules
  • Supply Chain
    • Together with supply chain optimize the flow of Intercompany parts
    • Make regular analysis on part destination to guide Opco sourcing strategy: Interco versus Direct supplier sourcing
    • Support / propose / coordinate resourcing initiative and or double sourcing within BDR rules
    • Organize / plan / support with Group Operation potential benefit of central Warehouse solution
  • Sustainability / Branding
    • Enable group project for Spare packaging / Branding optimization
    • Coordinating and developing stakeholder project teams to deliver the capability to meet business needs
  • Quality
    • Implement and follow quality reporting on Spare warranty. Coordinate any issues from Intercompany supply together with Procurement and Quality

Your knowledge, skills, experience, and character include:

  • Educated to Degree level, and with supporting qualifications in Procurement and supply chain
  • International experience in Spare Procurement, managing multi-site flows
  • Proven contract management in Procurement
  • Be able to demonstrate evidence of internal multi-site relationship management, be able to relate to, and be influential with, representative from all levels of the organisation – including operational and technical experts and Senior Directors
  • Team player but able to work on own initiative
  • Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
  • Positive attitude to change
  • Highly competent in using Microsoft Office software in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels
  • Fluent English
  • You must have at least 10 years of qualified purchasing experience, of which at least 5 years in the area of Spare Procurement on a strategic level. You have been working in a well-recognized company on Spare management, within an international frame including outside of Europe.
