This is what we see as your role

As our Operations Director you focus on defining and implementing the local Operations strategy at the country or local business unit level and ensure it is aligned with the BDR Thermea Group strategy. You lead and direct manufacturing activities, anticipate technological and engineering changes in the local market place and review opportunities to enhance production operations in order to optimize productivity and business growth.

You contribute to business planning at executive level and you are in particular responsible for manufacturing of Boiler Business in Rastede and for the Radiator Business in Augustfehn. Furthermore, you support the German company Senertec in the Operating business as well as the German Remeha organization in logistic issues. For all Business areas Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistic and the Facility Management you have to identify improvements with the target to reduce costs and to improve profitability. Along with the primary responsibility you will also be successful in the following:

• Participation to establish a strategy for the local business aligned with the group strategy. Furthermore, the position holder is responsible for the organization of the Business Continuity Management System “BCMS” for the business units.
• Set and monitor the company's performance with KPI´s to increase the company's profitability.
• Lead, evaluate and develop a team of managers to ensure the organization’s Operations, Procurement and Logistic strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines and budgets.
• Establish effective and efficient processes and procedures for all areas with the target to achieve the lowest possible cost, in the specified quality and on time; even with the help of modern methods and standards like Lean management etc.
• Manage the manufacturing process and achieve the performance targets quality, quantities and costs. Implementation of lean manufacturing principles, supply chain concepts, inventory management and on time delivery performance. Furthermore, the development of group work, working time models, participation in company health management “BGM” and the planning of the building management.
• Define and implement the local procurement strategy for the direct and indirect spends aligned with group strategy. Ensure best possible value and conditions in cooperation with the group commodity buyer. Make or buy decisions, ensure good supplier selections in the new product development process, organize supplier quality management including monitoring of supplier delivery performance.

• Technical engineer with business expertise
• Qualification in Supply Chain: Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Industrial Engineering, Warehouse & Distribution, Facility
• Advanced Leadership skills and team mindset
• Excellent communication skills and pronounced assertiveness
• At least 10 years professional experiences
• Strategic thinking and acting
• Fluent in German language (C1), good English skills (B2)
• Competences in Business and Leadership
