This is what we see as your role

The business development unit Digital and Controls is responsible for the development of advanced controls and system management solutions for the BDR climate products including heat pumps, gas heated and electrical boilers, solar solutions, and cooling solutions. In modern climate solutions control systems, digitalization, connectivity, IoT and data are a crucial element to achieve ambitious objectives in developing customer focused comfort climate solutions which also reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint. As part of this ambition we believe in the need of professional Hardware development. A team that creates a reliable HW platform for the BDR climate appliances and accessories . Therefore we are setting up a HW development cluster that exists of 2 small PCB development teams and 1 HW core team who owns the functional HW blocks and has all relevant expertise regarding LVD and EMC compatibility.

For this team we are looking for an experienced product owner who has several years of relevant working experience in a comparable role . You will be working with 3 teams each of circa 4 to 5 members, all with an electronics and HW background. These teams are working from Apeldoorn (NL) and Mertzwiller (France).

Along with the primary responsibility you will also be successful in the following:

• Define and communicate the hardware product vision
• Prioritization, alignment with different teams, value streams and suppliers
• Make technical specifications
• Progress reporting and issue tracking
• Define with stakeholders HW WoW including architecture.
• Define needed resources

Your knowledge, skills, experience and character include

• You hold a bachelor’s degree
• You have knowledge and experience in power electronics (SMPS, motor control), on IoT and Connectivity (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LTE-M, Ethernet)
• Knowledge about component sourcing topics
• Electronics design (analog and digital)
• Component life time management
• Certification EMC, LVD and RED (design solution and perform tests)
• Design of PCB (from specification to schematics to pcb)
• SCRUM Methods, backlog management, Kanban.
• Link with Procurement (components, EMS, cost management)
• A leader who embark people and challenge others
• Customer focused and product oriented with a global mindset.
• Good communication and presentation skills in English
• Anticipate, proactive, promote ideas and team oriented
• You can work with: Confluence, Jira, MS DevOps, Miro / Obeya boards and Simulation tools
