Are you an experienced R&D Project Manager who is comfortable with developing R&D project related teams within a solar thermal production environment? This is what we see as your role

You are responsible for effectively select, develop and manage R&D project teams, ensuring the goals are achieved effectively in terms of cost, timing, quality and specifications. You are accountable for identifying, addressing and resolving the challenges associated with the different R&D projects developed within the Solar part of the BDU.

Along with the primary responsibility you will also be successful in the following:

  • Secure the provision of resources needed for projects from internal and/or external providers
  • Preparing and maintaining definitions of the requirements of projects
  • Determining the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of project objectives and constraints i.e. developing solutions
  • Preparing and maintaining schedules of activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements
  • Developing, implementing and updating resource allocations plans (other than finance) needed for projects, taking account of availabilities and scheduling
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects
  • Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)
  • Establishing and managing reviews at appropriate points, during and after projects, which will inform governance of projects by providing evaluations of progress, methodologies and continuing relevance
  • Preparing, gaining approval of, refining and updating business cases that justify projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks
  • Identifying, defining, evaluating, planning, tracking and realizing the business benefits of programs (and/or the projects within them)

Your knowledge, skills, experience and character include

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master's degree, preferably in Engineering
  • You have extensive Project Management skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Strategic thinker
  • Global mindset
  • You have a proactive, flexible and organized way of working
